Makes 18 - using a patty dome pan
Ingredients
2 Sheets of Pre Rolled Puff Pastry 200g Minced Beef 1/4 of an Onion
1 Carrot
1/4 Red Capsicum (optional) 2 Cherry Tomatoes (Or 1/4 Whole Tomato) 1 Tbsp Provolone Cheese EV Olive oil
Sesame + Nigella Seeds S&P
Method Preheat your oven to 200c/390f on intensive bake setting, if you don’t have this setting you may need to cook them a little longer. Lightly oil the pan and cut your puff pastry into rounds, place them in the patty pan. Finely chop all your vegetables and put them in a frying pan with a little oil. Cook them on medium until they soften, and then add the beef, the meat doesn't need to be fully cooked just browned a little. Season. Remove it from the heat, and add the cheese. Spoon the mixture into the pastry cases, adding the pastry crosses are not essential but I found that because I didn't use any egg to bind the mixture together the crosses help the mince stay intact. Dab olive oil over the top of the pastry and place in the oven for 10-15 mins, mine took 12. Serve with ketchup! Enjoy x
