The best thing about these chips is that they can be baked in an air fryer/oven or fried in a pan and they'll be awesome either way. Whatever feelings you have about tofu, trust me they'll change after you try these.
If you're baking preheat your air fryer/oven to 210°c.
Slice the tofu into thin slices, it's up to you how big or what shape you want them to be.
To bake them, put the pieces in a bowl with a drizzle of oil and a sprinkle of salt - you can also add flavourings like paprika, onion powder, herbs etc.
Line a tray with baking paper and place the tofu on them, try not to have them touching too much. Cook them for about 15 - 20 minutes, turning them around half way through. They should be brown and crispy. The air fryer should take about 10 - 15. Regardless of which you use just start to keep an eye on them after about 10ish minutes.
It's your choice if you want to deep fry or shallow fry, either way just make sure the oil is quite hot, you can check by dangling in a piece of tofu, if it starts to bubble, it's ready.
The good thing about the tofu is that the pieces wont stick together, so you can put them all in at once, just use a metal utensil like tongs or a slotted spoon so you can keep moving the pieces around.
They will take about 10-15 minutes to become golden brown and crisp up. You can check if they're ready by removing one, let it cool down for a second and bite into it. If it's chewy, it needs more time.
Once they're ready remove them from the oil, put them on some paper towel to drain off any extra oil and sprinkle them with some salt.
Serve them with your favourite dip and you've got the perfect low carb/keto cracker option. 100g of these have less than 1g of carbs compared to over 60g for standard crackers/chips. I know what's going on my next grazing board.
