Makes 5 - 7
Ingredients
2.5 Cups SR Flour
1.5 Cups Natural Yoghurt*
Oil
Salt
Butter
Garlic
Parsley/Coriander
Method
In a bowl add the Flour, Yoghurt, a drizzle of Oil and a sprinkle of Salt.
Mix till combined and lightly knead the dough for a few minutes till it's smooth - you can do it in the bowl or the bench.
Let the dough sit till your're ready to roll it out. Divide it into balls and place each ball between 2 pieces of baking paper with a dusting of flour.
Roll each naan out to about 3mm thin, you can remove the top layer of paper, but leave the bottom piece and stack them on top of each other till you're ready to cook them.
To cook, I heat a non stick pan on medium and drizzle it with a little bit of oil that i have had in a cup with some cut up garlic to infuse.
Place your dough on top, remove the paper and let it cook for a few minutes, you should be able to see big puffy bubbles appear, whatever you do, DON'T press down on them.
Once the first side has browned, add a drizzle of oil to the uncooked side and turn it over to cook.
Once you've removed them from the heat you can brush on some melted butter that has a glove of garlic crushed in it and some chopped up parsley/coriander. Garlic is optional.
Enjoy x
My Tip: If you are using Greek yoghurt you might not have add as much flour as the yoghurt is thicker.
Try filling the naan with cheese before grilling!
