Caramel Popcorn


Ingredients

1/4 cup Popcorn Kernels = 7 cups Popped.

50g Butter

1/4 cup Sugar

1 tbsp Honey

1/2 tsp Bi-Carb Soda

Flaked Salt


Method

Cook your popcorn, I use my microwavable container so I don't need to add anything to it.


Find a saucepan, preferably non stick as it's easier to wash later and that will be big enough to fit in all the cooked popcorn.


Add in the Butter, Sugar, Honey and a sprinkle of Salt and cook it on medium for about 5 minutes till it's golden brown, then turn off the heat and stir in the bi-carb.


Quickly add in the popcorn and mix everything together till it's all coated. Then tip it all onto a lined baking tray and sprinkle it with a bit of flaked salt and let it sit for about 5 minutes till it sets - or for about 2 minutes outside in the Melbourne cold!


Break it up with your hands and enjoy!
